Why subscribe?
Advertising pays for clicks. Readers pay for journalism. The Republic Ledger is funded by subscriptions, which is why our reporting can take six months and end somewhere inconvenient for someone powerful.
Subscribers get every story, every newsletter, and the knowledge that the person asking the questions is not being paid by the person answering them.
“I subscribed for the crossword. I stayed because the paper keeps explaining things I did not know I needed explained.”

Questions, answered
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel online in two clicks, or call us and we will do it in one. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
Do you offer a print edition?
The All Access plan includes the Saturday print edition, delivered by a person who knows your dog’s name.
Is there a student discount?
Yes. Verified students pay $1 a month. We do not verify very hard, but we do verify.
What happens to my free articles?
You get three free articles a month. After that, we ask you to subscribe. The meter resets on the first of the month.
Can I share my subscription?
A subscription is for one household. We trust you, within reason.
